COMMUNITY BASED DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES

Offering Quality Services to Special Needs Families

WHO WE ARE

Our Roots

Community Based Developmental Services (CBDS) was incorporated in 1998 through the vision of a school teacher with thirty-four years of teaching experience.  Twenty-seven of those years were spent teaching special needs and autistic students.  She saw a need to provide respite services to the families of this population and decided that someone in her community needed to not only care for the individual with the disability, but also the caregiver of the individual.  As she learned of the need for more person-centered services in the community, she put together a group of experienced professionals with proven success in providing CAP, Targeted Case Management, Respite, Intensive-in-Home, Developmental Therapy and Community Support services to individuals and families living with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance abuse.
